Read Hosea Chapter 5
What Are You Waiting For?
God speaks to the priests, the people of Israel, and the King saying, “Judgment is coming!” They have been a snare and a net that has trapped people into sin. They have defiled themselves and play a harlot. They do not know the Lord. They have dealt treacherously against him.
God declares to sound the Alarm, the Trumpet and Horn as a warning to the people that a day of his wrath is coming. They continue to follow man’s ways versus God’s ways.
God is WAITING FOR THE PEOPLE to acknowledge their guilt and sin and to seek his face.
Jesus said in Matthew 12:30, “He who is not with me, is against me. He who does not gather with me, scatters.”
In other words, are you walking with Jesus? Are you seeking his face? Are the things that you do around others, does it attract them to Jesus or scatter them away?
For some, God is sounding the alarm that his wrath is coming. It awaits those who follow man’s ways versus God’s ways. Does that describe you?
What is God waiting for? He’s waiting for us to acknowledge our guilt and sin and to seek the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. That’s what God is waiting for. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? What’s holding you back from totally surrendering your heart to the Lord? What in this world is keeping you from seeking the Lord with all your heart? Don’t let the pleasures of this world affect your faith. People will know if you are committed or not. It will either draw them closer to the Lord or keep them away from the Lord.
Lord let my life be totally committed to you. Help my life to be lived in a way that draws people towards you rather than scattering them away.
