Read Ezekiel Chapter 47
I Can’t Wait To Eat What God Is Offering Me!
God showed Ezekiel a flow of fresh water from the temple and it was deep and contained many fish. God provided the fresh water to drink, filled it with sea animals for food, and the freshwater provided nutrients to the riverbank that produced trees that produced much fruit to eat, and leaves used for medicinal purposes for the healing of the body.
God also showed him an area of swamps and marshes full of salt. From these areas nothing grew and was useless.
I can’t help but think of God’s provision for us today. God is our living water and Jesus said in John 7:37-38 that if we are thirsty we are to go to Jesus and drink the water he offers: rivers of Living water which is the Holy Spirit.
Psalms 42:1-2 says as a deer pants for living water so my soul pants for you oh God. My soul pants for God, for the Living God. When can I go and meet with God?
Jesus said in Matthew 5:6 that blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled.
There is a spiritual food that provides eternal life, something we should desire more than anyone, anything, or any food. Jesus told the devil that we can’t live on bread alone but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
God has so much to offer us that brings food for our souls and healing to our hearts. Yet people get trapped in a lifestyle that looks good but is full of salt and is a place of death. Sadly people choose this life over everything God has to offer.
Lord, it is my prayer: give me a hunger and thirst for you, for your word, for your truth, and for your righteousness. May it be food to my spirit and soul that I become transformed into the man of God you’ve called me to be. Bring healing to my heart, soul and body and to the struggles of my life. Amen!
