Read Ezekiel Chapter 44
Restoring The Practices Of The Church.
God condemns the priests for leading the people of Israel astray. He declares his punishment to the priests because they made sacrifices to false idols. They intermingled with, and even married those not believing in God. Plus they allowed non-believers to serve in the temple before the Lord.
Sadly, our spiritual leaders are not condemning sin today and allow false doctrines and teachings into our churches. As a result, people are being led astray. Churches today are embracing homosexuality within the church and performing same-sex marriages. They embrace doctrine that says, “If it feels good, do it.”
Holiness and preaching from the Bible is no longer a priority. The Bible is no longer seen as Absolute Truth. Truth has become subjective. Our culture of people defines what they think the truth is or is not. We are expected to embrace everybody’s truth. The doctrine of salvation through Jesus is no longer preached in some Churches. Churches are open to many different ways of getting to heaven. The doctrine of SIN has even been excluded from churches.
However, before I get on my “high horse” as if I’m better than the “bad Christians,” let me ask this question: Does the way we speak and live our lives help point people toward Jesus or away from Jesus? If I live and act just like the non-believers, then I send a message to others seeking for truth, that you can live however you want without any consequences from God.
The Lord told Israel one time that he will not be mocked. There will be consequences for those not walking with the Lord. Almighty God, restore my heart so that I am holy before you. Restore my life so that I am a representative of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Amen!
