Read Ezekiel Chapter 43 and Read Romans 12:1-2.
Now Let’s Make Romans 12:1-2 Your Prayer.
Ezekiel was given a vision of the glory of God filling the temple. Then God gave instructions about the altar for burnt offerings. But before God would accept the burnt offerings for the forgiveness of sins, the altar had to be cleansed and made holy. This was accomplished by sacrificing animals on the altar for 7 days. God wanted to ensure the altar was holy before sacrifices were made to him.
That is also God’s desire for us. He wants us to offer our bodies as a Living sacrifice that is Holy and pleasing to him. Romans 12:1-2 says we are to do this so let’s make these two verses our prayer today.
Dear Lord, I pray that your glory would fill my life (my temple / my body). I offer my body as a living sacrifice: holy and pleasing to you which is to be my spiritual worship. Lord, I can’t think of a better way to worship you than to offer my body in holiness. Help me not to conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by renewing my mind. Change the way I think because I know that will change the way I live my life: in holiness. Lord, then reveal your perfect will for my life. Change me into the person you want me to be! Lord, help me take the emphasis Off Of EVERYONE ELSE in how they should be living their life and HELP ME PUT THE EMPHASIS ON ME. FIRST, change ME and conform ME into the person you want ME to be. Amen.
