Read Ezekiel Chapter 37
The Hope Of Having Life Where Death Exists.
God brought Ezekiel out by the spirit and set him in the middle of a valley with bones that were very dry. It means they’ve been dead for a long time. God asked Ezekiel, “Can these bones live?” God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones and when he does God will breathe life back into the bones. When Ezekiel prophesied the bones came together, the tendons and flesh appeared on them, and skin covered them. Then breath entered into them and the bones came to life and stood on their feet, a vast army.
1. Has God ever called you somewhere to put you right in the middle of a place that seemed to be very spiritually dead? And you thought, what am I doing here? This place is filled with dead bones, with people who want nothing to do with the Lord. But come to find out, God has called you there because he wants you to be a light for him in a dark place so he can bring life into those around you.
2. Perhaps you are in a relationship that was once filled with life but now is on the verge of death. Or perhaps it seems hopeless. I believe God can restore broken relationships. It takes both individuals daily surrendering themselves to the Lord. It takes both individuals being willing to make the necessary sacrifices for the Lord. It’s being willing to let go of obstacles that get in the way. It’s a humbling process.
3. Perhaps it’s your life God is wanting to bring life back into. Perhaps you feel empty and dead inside. You haven’t been following the Lord with all your heart.
Let today be the day that God breathes life into you.
Let today be the day God uses you to breathe life into others.
