Read Ezekiel Chapter 31 and 32
Where’s The Light? Darkness Overtook Them!
God said to King Pharaoh of Egypt, “Who can be compared to you in Majesty!” And God said do you remember Assyria and how majestic of a Nation it was. But then Pride set in and God had them humbled so they prospered no more. God then tells Egypt the same thing will happen to them because they have become majestic and pride has settled in. As a result darkness will fall over them. Egypt was not walking in the light of the Lord but in darkness. So God promised his coming destruction. Darkness is a sign of evil. When Jesus talked about darkness he was speaking of those walking in sin.
Where’s the light in our lives? Are we walking in darkness?
John 12:35-36 says we must FIRST believe that Jesus is the light, then SECONDLY, we must become his children who walk in His light.
I Peter 2:9 says,
[9] But you are a CHOSEN people, a ROYAL priesthood, a HOLY nation, God’s SPECIAL possession, that you may DECLARE the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Lord, thank you that you have Chosen ME!!!! Now help me to walk in your wonderful light so I can be a person who declares Hope to those who are living in darkness and with no hope.
