Read Ezekiel Chapter 17
Let It Go or It Will Bring You To Ruin.
God gave a parable to be shared with the Israelites regarding two powerful eagles. One represents Babylon and the other represents Egypt.
God would allow Babylon to go to Jerusalem and overtake them and bring them to ruin because of their sin. In their despair, the Israelites would turn to Egypt for help, and not the Lord. But Babylon would be too powerful for them thus defeating the Egyptians and leaving Jerusalem in ruin.
God’s desire is for us to be planted in fertile soil by The Living water of Christ so that we grow and blossom in our faith walk and produce fruit for the Lord. If we allow ourselves to be led astray because of the temptations around us, then I pray we seek the Lord for his help.
God allows us to go in a time of despair, not to destroy us, but hopefully get us refocused on him. Sadly, some Christians go to Egypt (ungodly people) for help and counsel because deep down inside they don’t want to change. Have you strayed from the Lord? How far “gone” are you? You’re never too far and it’s never too late to return and become reestablished in God’s word and in fellowship with the Lord and his people. Don’t go to Egypt for your help for it will only bring you to ruin like the Israelites.
Let today be the day you surrender everything to the Lord! Let today be the day you get rid of addictions and get the help you need. Let today be the day you get your Bible back out. Let today be the day you let go of the things of this world that bring you to ruin. Let It Go or Be Ruined.
