Read Ezekiel Chapter 12
Wake Up, People!
God prophesied through Ezekiel two times against Israel because of their Rebellious Acts. He uses visuals to make his point to them.
1st: The people watch Ezekiel pretend he’s going into exile into another land and then tells the people that God is going to scatter the Israelites into exile and they will be scattered among many nations, however many will die in the process.
2nd: The people watch Ezekiel eat and drink while he is shaking as if he’s doing it in fear. Then he tells the people that they will one day eat and drink in anxiety and fear as they anticipate disaster coming upon them from their enemies.
However, the people respond by saying, “Ezekiel, you keep prophesying of this coming disaster, and nothing has happened. And we feel nothing will happen.”
Then God declared the prophecies would be fulfilled without delay. It was forthcoming.
Don’t we get into that mindset, sometimes? We get LAX with our faith. We start to dabble into sin.
Sometimes we sin because of the lust of our flesh. Sometimes we’re hurting and make decisions to cover the hurt.
Either way, address the issue so you don’t suffer the consequences of the sin. As God said they will come without delay.
God loves you! So, “Submit yourself under the mighty hand of God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:7-8a.
God truly does love you!
