Read Ezekiel Chapter 11. I Want The Easy Way Out.
In God’s vision to Ezekiel, he shows him 25 leaders over Israel who have conformed to the standards of the evil Nations around them. These leaders are giving evil advice to God’s people, the Israelites. Sadly, the people listen to their leaders.
Have you ever been in a dilemma or conflict and you sought out advice from your friends? And because your friends “love you,” they give advice that favors what you WANT to hear versus what you SHOULD HEAR! Sometimes, the best advice is not the “Easy Way Out.” Oftentimes, the best advice is hard and challenging and requires perseverance. Oftentimes it requires pain and being steadily focused on the Lord. Your friends’ advice is well-meaning but not godly advice. God’s desire to give us a New Spirit and a New Heart, then have us remove from our lives any and everything that interferes or interfered with our relationship with the Lord.
May we all be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and his leading in our lives.
