Read Daniel Chapter 4
I Think I’m Going Crazy!
This chapter starts with King Nebuchadnezzar acknowledging God as the God of great wonders. One day he had dreams and visions that were very alarming to him. He had all his wise men come to tell the interpretation of the dreams. No one could do it, but when Daniel came into his presence, the King was delighted for he knew Daniel had a spirit within him from a mighty god.
Daniel was alarmed by the dreams and was sad to interpret it to him because the dream was about the king.
The dream is about a tree that grew very strong and tall and fruitful. It was respected by all. But one day the tree was chopped down and the stump had to eat grass and was covered with dew and after 7 years the stump was restored and grew mighty and powerful and the tree acknowledged that the Lord is God Most High.
A year later, the King was looking at his kingdom and praised himself and took all the glory. Immediately he lost his mind and went crazy and went out and lived in the fields with cattle eating grass. Yet, after 7 years, his mind was restored and he acknowledged God as the Lord Most High and gave him all the glory and his kingdom was restored.
We see where the King acknowledges God as the most high, but then, loses Focus and suffers greatly, but after a period of time is then restored again with the father.
Does that look like our lives sometimes? We’re walking with the Lord and doing really well, but then something happens and we get distracted from our walk and we suffer for a period of time. The good news is God can restore us back with him no matter what. No matter what. No matter what. It may not be easy but God’s love is great and his Mercy and faithfulness endures forever. He will lavish his love upon us and bring us back into a relationship with him, restored.
God, I pray that we all would not lose focus of you, but if we all do, let today be the day that we come to our senses and return to you 100% recognizing you as the King of kings and LORD of lords turning our lives totally to you saying Here I Am Lord send me, use me, be glorified through me.
