Read Daniel Chapter 11
The Battle Belongs to the Lord!
Daniel saw a vision from the Lord of how three more Kings would rise in Persia until the 4th arose. The fourth would oppose Greece. There would be battles between the two of them. Victory would come with some Kings but victory would come with other kings as well. Then there would be mighty kings that would rise from the North and the South. There’d be conflict between the two of them. Kings will rise and fall. A King would also arise and declare himself above all gods and would have no regard for God himself. The King of the North and South would attack this King, who some call the Antichrist. No one would be able to help him and he would be defeated in the Promised Land.
This chapter is a reminder that God is in control. He gives a great detailed description of battles that are to come in the future. And the greatest battle against the Antichrist is a battle he will lose. This battle belongs to the Lord.
God is also in control of our lives and is very well aware of every detail of every aspect of every part of our lives. We will face many battles. Life will not be a bed of roses. We will face conflicts. Some we will have victory over and some we will fail with. But the greatest battle over our soul will end in victory for those who are in Christ. The Battle of Our lives belong to the Lord. May we stay grounded in the word of God, putting on our armor daily so we can withstand the enemies arrows. May we persevere. May we trust the Lord when things are going extremely well but also trust him when things are going extremely, extremely poorly. He will get us through the worst of the worst. We will be victorious!! The Battle belongs to the Lord. Trust Him!
