God Wants To Use ME!!! EVEN ME!!!
God called Amos to prophesy His words to Israel and Judah, and to the surrounding Nations. Amos was a sheep herder. He wasn’t born a professional prophet nor was he a prophet. But God called him, a lowly sheep herder, and gave him a vision about being a prophet and speaking God’s words to those around him. By all cultural standards, Amos should not be a prophet. He had a lowly position. He took care of sheep. Not really a respected position. But God is not bound by cultural standards. God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called. He’s looking for those with willing hearts. Doesn’t matter how lowly you feel or how powerful you feel, or how highly esteemed you are. He’s looking for the willing heart. Don’t let how you feel about yourself detect what God can or cannot do. Don’t listen to the lies of the devil.
God called Amos and he responded to God’s call and began to speak the coming of God’s judgment against the Nations.
Just as God gave Amos a vision, God wants to give you a vision for your life that produces growth in your life, that conforms you more and more into the image of Christ, and will use you to impact lives for Christ.
God is calling me! Yes, even me! God is also calling you! Yes, even you!!! Are you willing to do and go where God calls you?
