Read Acts 9:10-16
You Never Know What God Is Up To.
After Saul’s encounter with the Lord, his men led him to Damascus because he was blinded by God. In the meantime, God appears before a disciple named Ananias. The Lord told him to go to the house of Judas and ask to see Saul from Tarsus because Saul is praying and has seen a vision from God that a man named Ananias has come to him, placed his hands on him, and prayed for his sight to be restored.
When God told Ananias to go and pray for Saul, he was afraid and told God that Saul is the one who has persecuted many Christians. But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is My chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
When I read this, I realized that you never know what God is up to. Saul had an encounter with God. Have you ever had something happen to you that you didn’t expect. It turned your life upside down? It didn’t make sense because it went against everything you had planned for your future. You find yourself praying to God and doing so with anger, frustration, and/or complaining.
But you never know what God is up to because it was his plan for this one thing to happen and while you sit confused and complaining to God, he’s at work. He’s a hundred steps ahead of you making a way to deliver you, heal you, prepare you, and/or equip you for the plan he has for you. So keep praying but do so with CONFIDENCE knowing God is working things out and will do a miracle in and through your life. God’s 100 steps ahead of you paving the way for your life. You never know what God is up to but he’s at work. Trust him!
