Read acts 8:26-40
Listen To The Spirits Leading.
An angel of the Lord said to Philip to go to the desert road. In obedience to the Lord, he left and soon met an Ethiopian eunuch. The Ethiopian was reading from the Book of Isaiah. The spirit told Philip to go to this man. So Philip shared the good news of Jesus and the man received Jesus into his life and later was baptized. Afterwards, the man rejoiced in his new faith in Jesus.
It’s neat how the spirit of God will lead us to different places to meet specific people.
I was in Cleveland over the weekend and a group of us went to the beach to pray. A young man named Pat saw my sweatshirt that had printed on it, “He Saved A Wretch Like Me.” The young man commented on how he liked my sweatshirt. I thanked him and our group spread out to pray to the Lord. While praying I got a phone call from somebody whose brother was dying. I took the call and she had her brother on the phone. I shared Jesus with him and he prayed to accept the Lord in his life. After hanging up, God impressed on my heart to speak to the young man who commented about my sweatshirt. I asked if he knew Jesus and he said he was still searching for the truth but he admired my faith. He said he was leaving for California on Monday because of his job and would be gone a few weeks. We chatted a while and then I prayed with him that God would reveal himself to this man named Pat.
Thank you God for speaking to my heart. Help me to always listen to your spirit and be obedient. And continue to put people in my path that I can share Jesus with.
