Psalms Chapter 95
Are You Coming?
Three times in this passage the psalmist calls us to come together before the Lord.
1. We are to COME and sing for Joy to the Lord and even shout out loud because he is our Salvation.
2. We are to COME before him with Thanksgiving and even extol him with music and song because the Lord is great!!
3. We are to COME together and bow down and even kneel before the Lord our maker for he is God and we are his people.
COMING together before the Lord makes much more sense when we realize who God really is.
He LOVES us! Love drove him to the cross to save our souls. He gave his life for us. We would be foolish not to want to praise him, thank him, and bow down before him.
He created us. He gives us value, worth and purpose. In other words, his love is all about us and when we recognize this, then we should want to make our lives all about him. We can’t worship him enough! We can’t thank him enough! We can’t bow down to him enough! If his Love is truly all about us then why do we fail to make our lives all about him? COME!!!
