Psalms chapter 94
God Will Judge All Wickedness.
The psalmist cries out to God the avenger, the judge, because the wicked ones are doing such evil against God’s people and are arrogant about it while mocking God. The psalmist warns the wicked that in due time, the God they mock, will bring his Justice against them. God’s judgment is done with righteousness. He will support those who are slipping. Those with anxiety will be filled with joy. God is the rock that we can take refuge in. God will destroy the wicked.
We are in the middle of a political war right now. We have both political parties making accusations against one another. They accuse each other of being corrupt. Honestly, there does seem to be a lot of corruption, but I can’t figure out what’s truth and what’s lie. I feel like our justice system is, in itself, corrupt. So my prayer is, “God, Let Your righteous ones rise to the surface in victory.”
I can say this with confidence: one day we will all stand before God and His judgment will be holy, fair, and true. We will all get what we deserve. Lord, help me to be a man of integrity so when I am falsely accused of evil, that you would eventually avenge me. But if you don’t avenge me on Earth, then I know you will avenge me when I stand before you on Judgment Day. Thank you that your Justice is NOT Corrupt!
