Psalms Chapter 93
Mightier than the Thunder and Breakers of the Waves.
This Psalm is such a great worship song and identifies many awesome qualities of God. It says the Lord reigns. He is robed in Majesty. He’s armed with strength. He established the world. He was and is and will always be. He’s more mightier than the waves of the sea that destroy all that it’s in its path. God’s statutes never change. Holiness is his trademark.
When Hurricane Katrina went through Louisiana, it destroyed everything in its path. Houses were immediately removed from their foundations with no evidence of its previous existence. We all have seen how devastating water can be. Now compare that with God. You can’t!! God is more mighty than the Thunder and Breakers of the Great Seas.
So if God is so mighty then why do I doubt him? My faith should be unwavering! But I do doubt him. God is also a Holy God and his Word never changes.
Lord, help me to hold fast to your never changing Word even amongst a nation that defines its own truth. Lord, help me to live in Holiness!!! I want to believe that you are a Mighty God. So may the words I speak and the way I respond to life experiences become a testimony to those around me that you truly are a Mighty God worthy to follow in Holiness with Your never changing Truth.
