Psalms Chapter 92
Praise God and Bear Fruit!
The psalmist takes great joy in praising the Lord and making music. He speaks of the Lord’s good deeds and for all he has done. He speaks of how the wicked will perish and the righteous will flourish and bear fruit even in their old age.
This is my desire:
1. Always Praise God. I want to learn to praise the Lord ALWAYS, regardless of life circumstances. Sometimes, I have to be completely intentional about praising the Lord because sometimes I don’t feel like it. I have to literally look past how I feel and look past my circumstances and still give God what he is worthy of, and that is my praise.
2. Bear Fruit Even In My Old Age. I want to flourish and bear fruit even in my old age! Even on my deathbed I want Christ to somehow shine through me. Right now, God is using my healthy body to connect with people for the Lord. One day, I won’t be able to run like I can now. When life circumstances change for us, we can be depressed and angry or we can learn to adapt and say, okay Lord, how do you want to use me NOW?!? Whether our physical body changes, or loved ones pass on, even when facing new struggles and challenges, we can be God’s beautiful instrument to impact lives for the kingdom. We can still bear fruit for the Lord.
When changes come I want to learn to adapt.
Lord, help me praise you always and help me always bear fruit for Jesus even on my death bed. Amen!
