Psalms Chapter 8
God is Majestic.
Twice David says, “Oh Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the Earth.” David exalts God above all creation for God is the creator of all things. What blew David’s mind is the fact that we humans, a part of God’s creation, have become very important to God. It says God is mindful of us and cares for us. That should blow our minds! Of all the majestic things God has created, he takes particular care for us. Stop and ponder the fact that he is mindful of us. To think that all creation goes to Infinity and yet God’s attention is upon us because he cares for us.
1 Peter 5:7 instructs us to cast our cares on the Lord because he cares for us.
But Psalms 55:22 goes one step further because it says he will Sustain us.
Sustain means he will give us the strength to keep going.
God’s desire is to SUSTAIN us and keep us moving forward.
The devil’s desire is for us to GIVE UP.
