Psalms Chapter 76
Are you Captivating for Jesus!
Verse 1 is CAPTIVATING:
“God is renowned in Judah; in Israel his name is great. His tent is in Salem and His dwelling place is in Zion.”
Renowned means “to be famous, be known, or talked about by many people.”
Judah and Israel saw the hand of God at work and he was renowned by them. In Israel his name was GREAT. In Salem and Zion he was respected and feared by the people.
When Jesus walked the face of the Earth, people were captivated by him. He was renowned by the people. However, at the peak of his love, he was rejected by the people. But His salvation has brought billions of people back to him in a restored and renewed relationship. Jesus became an exact representation of God his father.
We, the Body of Christ, the Church, are also to be a representation of the Lord. When people see us, we should be renowned by them, not because of who we are, but because of who Christ is in us.
So let us be IN the world but SEPARATE from their actions. Let us be the light of Christ in this world so people are captivated by our presence. May we be God’s tool that points people to Jesus and Jesus alone. Are you renowned in your city because of the Christ they see in you?
