Psalms Chapter 65
God THEN is the God NOW.
The psalmist addresses God as the one who answers prayer and as the one that people will be drawn to. He declares God as the one who forgives us of all our sins. He declares that God is armed with power and strength and that the whole Earth is filled with awe at his wonders.
Lord, Hebrews 13:8 says that you are the same yesterday, today, and forever.
You answered prayers THEN and you answer prayers NOW. Thank you for answering my prayer I had yesterday in taking away my inner turmoil and bringing back unity to the broken body of Christ.
As your people were drawn to you THEN, may each of us be drawn to you NOW, not just once in awhile but every day. And thank you that you forgave all sins THEN, and that still today, if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just and will forgive us of all our sins NOW!
Lord, you were armed with power and strength THEN, through your Holy Spirit, use me to show your power and strength NOW to a lost world.
The whole Earth was in awe of your great wonders THEN, may your Holy Spirit, through my life, display your Awe and Great Wonders NOW.
Lord, I don’t want to waste my life away and make it all about me. I want what I say and do to be all about you. Thank you for being the same yesterday, today, and forever.
