Psalms Chapter 50
Faithful Followers Of Christ!
God is a loving God, yes, but he is also a holy and just God. We will all stand before the Lord and face his true and fair judgment. God spoke to Israel and told them he couldn’t judge them against their sacrifices and burnt offerings because they did a lot of them. But God was angry with their heart behind the sacrifices and offerings. They were wicked people. They looked “religious” but inside they hated the righteous words of God and did not obey them. Their words and actions were evil and God warned them to repent and change their ways because his judgment would be harsh towards them who reject him.
It’s the same for us today. He has given his son Jesus who died for the forgiveness of our sins. We get to choose whether we want to accept and follow him, or look religious but don’t follow him. Lord, help us all be faithful followers of Christ!
