Psalms Chapter 5
I Cry. I Surrender. I Wait Expectantly.
In verses 1 and 2, it says the psalmist:
1. Cries to the Lord.
2. Lays his request before the Lord.
3. Waits expectantly for the Lord’s answer.
What about you? Do you cry out to the Lord with a specific need? Then do you also lay it before him? Think about it. To lay something before the Lord is to Let It go, to surrender it to him, and then trust him with it. Yes, we cry out to the Lord when in need but do we surrender it to him? Are you afraid to let it go? Do you want to have control? Are you afraid of God’s answer, that his desire will be different than your desire? Are you afraid to trust him with the answer he has? Perhaps you have surrendered it, only to find out that daily you have to keep surrendering it because no sooner that you surrender it, that you want to take it back. Having surrendered it, then by faith do you wait expectantly for his answer. And by faith are you willing to accept his answer.
What’s your need? Surrender it to God and by faith Wait Expectantly, for in due time, he will answer. Remember, he loves you! Blessings.
