Psalms Chapter 43

Can You Relate?

The psalmist cries out to God. The things he said to the Lord we may be able to relate with.

1. He mentions his pains and frustrations:

* Vindicate me God.

* Rescue Me.

* I’m rejected.

* I’m mourning.

2. Then the psalmist mentions his Desires and his Focus:

* God is my stronghold.

* He’s my light.

* He gives faithful care.

* I want to be in God’s Holy presence.

* It’s my joy and delight to praise him.

* God Is My Hope.

Can we relate? List on a piece of paper or in your mind all the frustrations of life in your last 30 days. Now write down or think of how you handled each of the frustrations. Have you allowed them to destroy your faith? Or has it drawn you closer to the Lord in faith so you can have joy in the days of mourning? Do you walk around with your head laid low, moping around the house like there’s no hope for tomorrow? Or has your head been held high in both confidence and faith that God is your stronghold and your hope? The Joy of the Lord has become your strength. Remember, Jesus cares for you.
