Psalms Chapter 4. You’re Delusional!
A question is asked in this short Psalm, “How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?” Have you ever heard the saying, You’re Delusional? Basically, it means, you’re living in a world that’s not real or you’re being deceived from the truth. The Israelites were being accused of that very thing. There were so many things in the world that captured their attention and it took their hearts off from God.
What has captured our attention? Are we hungry and thirsty for God? Or are there relationships or even hobbies that have captured our attention so much that we lost Focus of God? Has our desire for money or popularity distracted us into a delusional world? As a result, our relationship with Jesus has begun to dwindle? In all reality, it’s easy to be delusioned by our passions for other people or other things.
CHALLENGE: Stop and evaluate what is most important in your everyday life. What consumes your attention and your thought life? If you haven’t invited Jesus into every aspect of your life, then You’re Delusional. Surrender Your delusions to the Lord and put him back as your number one love.
