Psalms Chapter 31
Take Heart, There’s Hope in the Lord.
The psalmist declares four times that God is his refuge. In other words, God is his go-to person for help. In fact, things are going horrible and here are just some of the words he used to describe his circumstances: Distress. Sorrow. Grief. Anguish. Groaning. Affliction. Weak. Dread. Forgotten.
Can you relate? But in all this, he declares God as his go-to person for relief and hope. He even gave these words for us in verse 24, “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”
Why? Because God is our refuge!
May God be the person we turn to First every time when we have any problem, no matter how “simple” or ” horrible ” it really is.
What have you been worrying about? What consumes your mind? What are you afraid of? Take it to the Lord now and keep doing so until you either find peace or find an answer. God wants to speak to us. Might I encourage you to be in the word of God daily, for that is a major place he talks to us. There’s Hope!! Take Refuge in the Lord!!
