Psalms Chapter 30
Do You Want God’s Fullness?
The psalmist Praises God for:
* For delivering him from his enemies. * For healing. * For protecting him. * For turning his wailing into dancing. * For clothing him with joy and celebration.
Then he calls all of Israel to Praise the Lord!
We all are at different levels with our spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical lives. But some things remain the same for all of us: God desires our praises and God WILL deliver us from that which is bringing us down. A day is coming when our crying out to God will turn into joy and celebration. It may be hard to imagine that right now but it will happen! It will come in one of two ways:
1. God will answer our prayer by giving us the answer we prayed for, or
2. God will give us a real peace for accepting the answer he does give us that we didn’t pray for.
So what’s holding back your celebration and joy? Perhaps it’s a lack of patience. Or maybe God actually is knocking on the door of our hearts in order to give us that Joy but we haven’t let go of that which we are consumed with. Give it to God! Daily if you have to! He wants to give us his answer but we’re not letting go of our desire so we can celebrate with joy his desires. We can’t experience God’s fullness when we are holding on to what we want.
CHALLENGE: Praise God now by faith and trust his answer IS coming. He WILL turn our pain into joy and celebration!
