Psalms Chapter 26
Let This Be Your Prayer.
I took exactly some of the words the psalmist declared in this chapter and turned it into a prayer to God. May this also be your prayer.
God help me to live a blameless life that when surrounded by those who hate me and my faith, may they not be able to find fault in my life but instead find me faithful to you.
Lord, I don’t always enjoy being tested and tried to prove my faithfulness, but if it’s necessary so others can see, not just my faithfulness to you, but also know that you are the one and only true God, then I’m willing to be tested and tried.
Father, may I surround myself with righteous and holy people because I know that those I surround myself with are those I become like.
Help me not to fool myself into thinking that faith is all about not doing bad things. Rather, let me see that faith is all about a relationship with you! Therefore, I will want to follow you in Holiness and Righteousness by, yes doing good deeds, but also not being ashamed to declare praises to you. And also not being ashamed to declare to others your wonderful deeds, including the salvation we find through Christ for what he did at the cross for us.
This is my prayer to you, in Jesus name, Amen.
