Psalms Chapter 25
I Wish I ALWAYS Trusted You, Lord!
The psalmist made some comments that reflect the desires of my heart even though I fail at them.
1. He says, “I put my trust and hope in the Lord.” It’s God’s ways and paths that he wants for his life.
This is also my heart’s desire. But do I live it everyday of my life? No! Because some days I want to help God and lead him in MY ways and MY paths because I am afraid and worry that he can’t really take care of me. So I try and step in and take control.
Think of what our lives would be like if we REALLY Trusted God EVERYDAY with EVERYTHING!!
2. The psalmist also says his eyes are forever on the Lord and asks for help in his darkest moments because he is lonely, afflicted, and in anguish.
Trusting God doesn’t mean you’ll never face dark moments but that God, even in our darkest moments, can be trusted and we can call out to him. He will always be near despite how we may feel inside.
CHALLENGE: May God help us all to humbly approach him daily and trust him with our lives despite the darkest circumstances and despite our inner desire to worry and fret.
