Psalms Chapter 24
Everything Belongs To The Lord.
Verse 1 starts off establishing an important fact: “The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.”
Sadly, it’s easy to think that things are MINE!!! ALL MINE!!! Really? The reality is, everything belongs to the Lord, and if we have it, then it’s because he has given it to us. We are to take care of it and be good stewards with it, and even treasure it with respect. But when the time comes that a need is before us, then we have a choice to make: do I keep that which is temporarily given to me? Or do I give it to someone else so it can be a blessing to them? Remember, all we have is the Lord’s. All we have is temporary. Always be ready to respond to the Holy Spirit when he impresses upon your heart to give something to someone who is in need. Don’t hold on so tight to that which isn’t really ours to begin with.
