Psalms Chapter 21
“There Sure Is A Whole Lot Of Nothing Going On Around Here!”
Most of you are probably too young to remember the saying that, “There sure is a whole lot of nothing going on around here!”
I don’t want that to be said of my spiritual life. I want a whole lot of something going on when it comes to my relationship with Jesus. I don’t want to be lazy with my faith or stagnant. Here are four things I see in this chapter we can learn from:
1. Desire: do you have a heart’s desire to be used by God? If so, then get ready for an adventure because that’s what God’s looking for.
2. Expect Change. Change will come first in your life which will be evident to others.
3. Trust God. No matter what, trust God. Whether God blesses you with your heart’s desires or God shuts the door to your heart’s desires, Trust God!!!
4. Rejoice In and Praise God. Do so for even the “smallest” joys and victories such as a healing, unexpected income, a time of blessing with a family member or friend, or a trial that was painful but helped make you a better person.
Don’t let a whole lot of nothing be what defines you on your relationship with Jesus. Personally I can’t see a whole lot of nothing happening if you are willing. Things will naturally happen.
DESIRE – EXPECT CHANGE – TRUST GOD – REJOICE IN AND PRAISE GOD.
