Psalms Chapter 2
Serve the Lord with Fear.
The psalmist wonders why leaders rise up against God. Somehow they think they have a power over God when they conspire against him and his people. Yet God laughs at them. Little do they know they will face his wrath, his anger, and judgment.
Even though this was written a long time ago it’s still applicable today. Even in our nation there are political leaders that either hate God or act like he’s not real. They rise up against Christians and act as if they have a power over God. Even the media is quick to take shots against Christianity. I’ve seen on music awards where a man compared Christians to crack heads to the audience.
The psalmist warned of the coming Savior, and that Savior who came 2000 years ago will one day come again to gather his faithful church.
Let our minds not slip into that dangerous area where we think our unfaithfulness is not a big deal to the Lord. Let’s keep a respectful fear of God so that we stay focused on serving him with all our hearts.
