Psalms Chapter 17
Have I Kept From Evil?
The psalmist says hear my cry Oh Lord. I have kept from evil. I call on you for you will answer me. You will hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of your love. Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me from the wicked. You will vindicate me and I will be satisfied.
The psalmist cries out to the Lord and declares that he has kept from evil. Lord, more often than I like to admit, I cry out to you because I HAVE DONE EVIL and I am in need of FORGIVENESS. Lord, help me say no to temptation and help me be found faithful.
