Psalms Chapter 16
Is God Enough For Me?
In this chapter the psalmist is all about God and God alone. He says:
“I take refuge in God alone.”
I sacrifice to God alone.
I keep my eyes only on the Lord.
It’s God alone who reveals the path for my life.
It’s God alone who fillls me with joy.
Am I content with God alone? Or do I want something more in this world. Is he enough for me? Or are there things in this world I want more? Does my heart say something different?
God you’re enough for me but give me more money!
God you’re enough for me, but give me more stuff.
God you’re enough for me but I prefer spending my time with someone else.
Lord you’re enough for me but I want to be more popular or more known.
Is God enough for you? Or do you want more?
