Your Life Is A Gift!
David declares God as his Rock and gives him credit for his ability to fight in battle. David takes great joy in placing God as number 1 because it’s then that things happen in his life and the lives of his people.
What are your gifts and abilities? What are you good at? I mean any and everything! What are you good at as it relates to your health, your job, your talents, your spiritual life, when it comes to people skills, sports, academics, your appearance, your ability to teach and encourage others, your heart, everything!? Like David, acknowledge them out loud, then give God the glory. Think about it, even your life is a gift. We exist for a purpose and it should be to exalt and glorify God in all that we do and say. So how do you use your gifts and your gift of life? May we always give glory to God and never become arrogant as if to think it’s from our very own doing that we are what we are. It should also drive us to want to make Christ number one in our lives. And when we do, we open the door of our hearts to allow God freedom to work in and through our lives. A transformation begins to occur in our lives which results in us touching other lives for the Lord.
