Psalms Chapter 138
I Love Being EMBOLDENED But I Don’t Even Know What It Means.
The psalmist says he will praise the Lord with all his heart. He will bow down before the Lord and pray; and when he called on the Lord, the Lord EMBOLDENED him. Let us try and comprehend what EMBOLDENED really means. it’s God giving to us a confidence that is easily seen and evident.
Just like when the Holy Spirit came upon the Disciples of the Lord after he ascended into heaven, the unlearned disciples were filled with boldness and confidence and courage that the religious leaders had never seen before. They were once cowards but now empowered men speaking God’s Truth with courage and confidence.
Good news! Christ has changed me. I went from an insecure, cowardly Christian, to a follower of Christ who God has empowered and EMBOLDENED with passion for his Word and with power to share his Word in confidence and courage.
Lord, may we all surrender our lives to you and allow your Holy Spirit to EMBOLDEN each of us for your glory and for your kingdom. May we never settle for mediocracy.
