Psalms Chapter 109
Yes, BUT, I Am A Person Of Prayer!!
The psalmist cries out to God saying I am attacked by my enemies’ lying tongues and they use hatred words without cause. Then he says, “BUT I’m a person of Prayer!” “May your Holy Spirit intervene and let the wicked fall. May the wicked things they do come back on them.”
Do I feel attacked? Are the wicked attacking you? Or is the devil making life miserable for you? What are you going to do about it? Do as the psalmist did: list all the evil coming against you and then say, “BUT I’m a person of Prayer!” May we never look at prayer as a stupid option but rather as the BEST OPTION! God does not want us to be anxious about anything but in all things make our prayer known to him and do so with a heart of trust.
