Psalms Chapter 107
God’s Love Endures Forever.
Verse 1-2a says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; His love endures forever.”
Oftentimes when we ENDURE something it’s hard and unattractive to us. Knowing that God’s love endures forever is encouraging because it’s easy to fall back into sinful areas we know we shouldn’t be in. But when we turn our hearts back to the Lord, his love, which has endured our unattractive behaviors, is ready to lovingly receive us back.
There was a couple who made some bad choices. One confessed his sin while the other person denied ever doing anything wrong. This was several months ago.
I sent a text this morning expressing a lot of my personal love and respect for the individuals. I reminded them of their Great value and worth and to keep pursuing the Lord with all their hearts and that God would make their paths straight and would open up new doors of opportunities to serve both him and others. Then I encouraged them to be excited for what new opportunities God opens and not to let the past dictate what God has for today and the future. Because his love endures forever, he’s excited to welcome us back into his arms with renewed love and vision.
