Psalms Chapter 104
Do You Want To Do Majestic Things?
The psalmist declares God’s greatness and declares that God is clothed with Splendor and Majesty. He is wrapped in Light.
The psalmist also declares God’s Splendor and Majesty evidenced through his creation. He made every intricate detail. The psalmist goes in great detail of all the many wonders of creation shown through the weather, the feeding of the animals, providing a hiding spot for creatures, for determining when life starts and when life ends. He mentions SO MANY more things. Nothing happens without God’s knowing. Oh that we would just stop and marvel at the wonders of this Earth, created by God.
Some good news: the Spirit of God who does great wonders desires to do great wonders in and through our lives. In John 14:12, Jesus says that the great things he has done we can do also through the power of the Holy Spirit that is given to every believer. Therefore, let us clothe ourselves with the righteousness of Jesus and with the light of his truth so people don’t just hear about Jesus from our lips but also see Jesus in and through our lives. Are you willing to be used by the power of the Holy Spirit? If so, put on the clothes of Jesus, his righteousness, and daily surrender Your Will for God’s Will and see what happens. But before he does something through your life, he may want to do something in your life. In other words, he may have to change our heart before he uses us to change the heart of others. That can be a painful process but are you willing?
