Psalms 125 and 126
Where Is Your Trust And Where Is Your Joy?
Psalms 125 says that those who truly trust God are like a mighty Mountain that cannot be moved. It endures forever. It also says that God is omnipresent meaning he is everywhere. He’s always with us so we should trust him. Every time you act in trust, you become like a mountain that can’t be moved. You endure through all hardships because you know God is with you. So don’t give up through your life difficulties. Keep persevering because perseverance results in spiritual maturity. We become like Jesus.
Psalms 126 says when God restores a life there is joy. Four times it says joy of the Lord follows restoration, whether it be God restoring our income or bearing fruit again because of our hard labor. We can have joyous lives, even when circumstances require us to trust and perseverance.
Do you lack joy in your life? What’s keeping you from having joy? Joy is evidence of a life with trust. Because you truly believe God is in control and is going to work things out according to his will and for his glory, then I can have joy and not have to worry about the outcome.
