Proverbs Chapter 24
Put on your “BIG Jesus pants!”
We read the final 11 of the 30 sayings of the wise. The one that sticks out to me says, “The wise prevail through great power and those who have knowledge muster their strength….”
We all face obstacles everyday and when they come how do we respond? Do we whine and complain like there’s no hope? Or do we attack it with the power and knowledge of God? Do we determine our ability to overcome based upon our circumstances? If so, that’s a danger zone. Circumstances can’t be what determines our outcome because circumstances often look impossible. But with God nothing is impossible. God’s power and wisdom says, “There is Hope! There is a way to overcome! It requires trust and faith in the almighty God. Never give up. Always be prepared to rise above your circumstances, not by your strength or your power, but by the Spirit of the Lord (Zechariah 4:6).
Verse five says that those who have knowledge muster their strength. To do so, I visualize a person putting on their big Jesus pants and digging deep down in their heart and soul saying with a loud voice, “I will not be defeated! I will not be overcome! I will not give up!”
I don’t know what you are going through but let today be the day you put on your BIG Jesus pants and go by faith in the Lord’s power and knowledge and declare your coming victory. Don’t be afraid to dig deep down and don’t be afraid to call the body of Christ the church for prayer and help. Your Victory awaits you. Don’t give up!
