How Can We Tell If We’re Unified In Christ?

As I read this chapter I see that if a body of believers are unified in Christ, then life is not about grumbling or arguing. In fact nothing good comes from it. It only produces unholiness.

Instead, if believers are truly unified in Christ then these qualities will be evident in their lives: encouragement, comfort, tenderness, compassion, and humility.

All these qualities will become evident in how we treat others. In humility we will consider other’s interests above our own interests. We’ll look at others with a servant heart where we will want to serve them and want to treat them as if we are under them. When we interact with others and leave, the person we interacted with should feel like they are the most important person because of how we loved, treated, or served them. They shouldn’t be thinking that we are selfish and conceited individuals.

Paul is excited to send Timothy and Ephroditus to the Philippians because they exemplified The Humble Life of Christ.

Is God excited to send us because of our example? Or are there still areas of selfishness and conceit He needs to knock down?
