Philippians Chapter 1
Please Stand With Me As I /We Share The Gospel.
Paul’s connection with the Philippians is so great that he thanks God for them whenever he thinks of them. He loves them and prays for them always because they are partners with him in sharing the Gospel. What a comfort it is to know there are those who share in the conviction to get the good news of Jesus to the world.
Who is your spiritual hero or role model? Who encourages you in your faith walk? Who is it that you are thankful for because of their influence when it comes to the Gospel? Have you told them?
Paul’s in prison yet he has such a positive attitude because he uses his imprisonment as an opportunity to proclaim Jesus. As a result many are growing in their faith walk with the Lord.
I wonder how I respond under stressful situations? Do I see it as, “Poor Me?”
Or as an “OPPORTUNITY” to proclaim Jesus for his glory?
Paul had the right attitude:
-if I’m living I want it to be all about Jesus.
-If doing so brings death then I get to be in heaven.
Paul encourages the Philippians because they have a faith in Jesus and he wants them to know that God calls us not just to have a faith but to suffer for Christ. Or at least be willing to suffer if opposition comes. Fear should not be a factor in keeping us from proclaiming the love of Jesus to others.
Lord help us all partner together in proclaiming your name in love even if it means being ridiculed, beaten, imprisoned, or face death.
