Numbers Chapter 36
God Cares About All Aspects Of Our Lives
In this chapter, a new problem is presented to Moses. Three daughters had a dilemma. They had inherited land from their father from one of the 12 tribes. They said to Moses, that if they got married from someone outside their tribe, then the new tribe would get their inheritance.
Moses took their issue to the Lord and God said that the women must marry someone from their tribe so that their inheritance stays within their tribe. And so they did.
When I first read this, I wondered why it was in the Bible because it seemed like a minor problem but then it hit me:
1. God cares about all aspects of Our Lives, and just like Moses, we need to take everything to God in prayer.
2. What seems minor to me maybe a catastrophe to someone else. I must learn to value each problem with each person and take it to God in prayer and encourage them to do the same.
I remember an eighth grade girl devastated when her “boyfriend” broke up with her. Most outsiders thought how ridiculous because they were just eighth graders. But in her world, it was everything.
To us, something may seem like no big deal but to someone else, it’s their whole world and therefore is worthy of that which should be taken to the Lord in prayer. God cares and wants to help.
Thank you Lord that you care about all aspects of our lives no matter how small it may seem.
