Numbers Chapter 3
Are You Engaged Or Are You A Sideliner?
God calls the Levites, his priests, to help Aaron in the duties of the Tent of Meeting, which is God’s dwelling Place. Each family amongst the Levites were assigned different responsibilities.
Today we have all kinds of duties within the church that need taken care of. And we who know Christ are all a part of the priesthood with Christ. Therefore we all are to be engaged within the church and its Ministries. Each person is to be engaged somehow in helping further the kingdom of God. We were never meant to be sideliners who sit on the sideline and watch others perform the duties of the church and their ministries.
I challenge each of us to pray that God would show us our gifts and give us a passion for a Ministry of the church and get engaged versus being a sideliner.
We may be called to be prayer warriors, or called to be leaders of a Ministry, or something in between. All I know, is we are not called to be sideliners. Lord, help us each know how we can offer ourselves to you and be used in some way to further your kingdom through the ministries of the church. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
