Numbers Chapter 29
Be Intentional and See What God Does.
In this chapter, the Israelites are instructed on the 7th month to devote nine days with no work so that all the days could be devoted to the Lord in some way.
I was thinking of a lot of things we do where we take days off of work so we can devote our time to something else. For example: vacations, holidays, birthdays, weddings, or funerals.
But how often do we take off days so we can celebrate our Lord and remember him? Sundays are often days we take off at least for a few hours or maybe longer.
But it got me thinking, if we committed every day to the Lord I bet we’d see God at work in and through our lives more. I bet we’d see more opportunities to serve, help, and encourage others.
CHALLENGE:
Be intentional this week to devote each day to the Lord and see if he doesn’t open up new opportunities to serve him by serving, helping, and encouraging others. Be Intentional!
