Numbers Chapter 28
A Soothing Aroma.
God gave laws for offerings. Some offerings were to be made twice a day and some were to be performed at the beginning of the month. The one thing all offerings had in common is they were to be a Soothing Aroma to the Lord.
You know when you get in a new vehicle how good it smells. It’s a soothing aroma. It’s smells like new. If you get in a vehicle with junk piled up and food items on the floor, it smells horrible. Such a vehicle is one you can’t wait to get out of.
Something that is Soothing is attractive. One it’s drawn to it. It’s inviting. If it’s not soothing, then it stinks and you want nothing to do with it.
It’s the same with our lives before the Lord. How is our spiritual walk? Is it Soothing to the Lord? Is our hearts inviting him to want to hang out with us? Or does our walk with the Lord stink and he wants nothing to do with us? The good news is, if our walk with the Lord is not a Soothing Aroma, he can help us. We need to offer our lives as a living Sacrifice and invite him in so he can clean us up and make us a Soothing Aroma.
May we all daily surrender our Lives to the Lord so we can become a Soothing Aroma with our spiritual walk.
Take my life Lord! It’s yours! Use it however you want for your glory and not mine. May it be a Soothing Aroma.
