Numbers Chapter 27
Leaders Develop Leaders and Christians Develop Christians.
I admire Moses because when he knew his death was soon approaching, he asked God to appoint someone in his place. Some people in leadership hate to give up their status as leader but a great leader looks beyond themselves and into the future. One must have vision beyond oneself so that there are always new leaders being developed and trained. We need to be raising up leaders so God’s work can continue on with Godly leaders.
But we also need Christians developing Christians. Its the same process and I call it DISCIPLESHIP.
1. We always need to be connecting with others and teaching God’s word and role modeling it for them.
2. Discipleship is also relational. It’s building a relationship and friendship with others.
3. Discipleship helps others identify their strength and weaknesses and helps define their gifts and abilities. Knowing this is huge because it helps get people commissioned in a Ministry position. It helps them know how they can be used to the fullest.
Be a great leader and help prepare the future for God’s work. Pray God would reveal one of two people you can connect with each week or more and then encourage them in their faith and start this discipleship process now.
