Numbers Chapter 15
How well do I keep the Sabbath Holy?
A man was working on the day of Sabbath and not resting as God commanded. So the Lord had the man stoned to death.
Today, our Sabbath is Sunday, the Lord’s day. I look forward to fellowshipping with other Christians. Yes, I love to meet with the Lord, but I also enjoy the interaction with other Christians. I like hearing how people are doing. I like praying for people. I like joking and laughing with them. I like being challenged Spiritually and encouraging others Spiritually.
But my question is: when “church is over”, do I shut down my heart for the Lord? Is my focus on things for just me? Is my heart devoted to the Sabbath all day or does my agenda take over? Lord help me to be faithful to you always, but on the Sabbath, may I be wholly devoted to you and not to my agenda. May my heart always be in the right place because I know it’s not always.
