Numbers Chapter 1
Getting Ready For Battle!
God has a mission for Israel after bringing them out of bondage / Egypt. The plan is to take them to the Promised Land flowing with milk and honey.
God instructs Moses to take a census of all the men capable of going into war. God was wanting to prepare and equip them for the coming battles they would encounter as they work towards entering the Promised Land. This plan would require them to be strong physically, mentally, and spiritually in order to fight the battles ahead of them.
It’s the same with us!
As individuals, God is calling us to fulfill his call for our lives. Are we taking care of ourselves physically and mentally so we can be ready to encounter the battles ahead of us? Are we being equipped spiritually through prayer, the reading of the Word, and through the fellowship of God’s people, so that we can withstand The temptations and obstacles that Satan puts in front of us?
The less equipped we are, the less apt we are to accomplish God’s desires for our lives.
